I don't do much portraiture but I do actually have a great fondness for it. Here are a few pics of some things I have done in the past for friends.

FIGURE DRAWING

Once I am back in Dallas, I really want to start drawing from live models more. I was fortunate enough to sketch alongside of Denny Doran one time. It was a truly awesome experience! Maybe I will get that privilege again soon!

INSPIRATION

Today I am showing an art piece I made just over a year ago entitled "Sailor Sally". I will show a few pics of it in progress.

THE ORIGINAL

The first pic is a classic, traditional "sailor-girl" tattoo design. I love these old patterns and I've stared at them for hours... hell 16 years now! I love the shape, form and timeless feel of it, so I decided to make my own art mimic it or pay tribute to it.
